The Future of Technology Is Here!

Whether it is creating art and design on digital tablets or turning your projector or television into a touch screen the future of technology is here!

In the last couple of years innovators new and old have developed technology that is changing the way we live our daily lives.

A start-up called Ubi Interactive is now selling $150 software that can turn any wall, desk or screen into a 45-inch touchscreen. All you have to do is hook up a Microsoft Kinect sensor and a screen or projector and the display will instantly turn into a touch-screen. This new technology has so many uses in the home or office.

The San Francisco-based start-up Leap Motion has made great strides as well by creating what it says is the “most natural user interface possible.”  They have a 3D-gesture sensing controller that gives the user a touch-free computer experience.

Soon we will have touchscreens on almost every surface and everything will be interactive!

Here are a few inspiring images from Media Bakery’s library giving us an idea of how we will interact with this technology in the future!

A Samsung designer was quoted saying “the best interface is no interface.” This means, digital programming will still be there but the need for a keyboard and mouse will disappear as the world of swiping, pressing and gesturing takes us into the future.

“We have to be able to account for our hands, our bodies and our other senses in a digital world.” Inventor Sir Tim Berners-Lee has said when talking about the “internet of things.”
