Hurricane Sandy

Hi Everyone!

As most of you already know, Hurricane Sandy is headed up the East Coast forcing people to evacuate their homes. It’s said that New York is going to get the worst of it Wednesday which could potentially flood a large portion of the cities subway system. If you are in an area that is threatened by hurricane Sandy we listed a few critical mobile apps that might help you in case of an emergency!

The first app is by American Red Cross which gives you professional medical advice on what to do in specific scenarios. This is an app that would be great to have in general.

First Aid App

App number two is very popular and most of you might already have it or have one like it, its called Flashlight.  This is great for a backup light  or to open you front door at night but a proper flashlight is a must for emergencies.

The third app is by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Lets hope you dont have to use this but if a natural disaster happens this is app could really help. It will tell you what supplies are recommended for different situations and it also shows you emergency meeting locations.
