Al Bello is a Sport Photographer that has had the amazing opportunity to shoot several Olympic games. Having that experience has been able to give him access to prime spots at the games and to know when to click at the right moment. A lot of action photography really has to do with knowing where to be and when to be there. Bello wanted an interesting shot with a lot of emotion. He figured he could find this in the long jump competition during the Winter 2008 Olympics. By finding the right place and knowing who and what he was shooting, Bello was able to “create his own luck” and capture this amazing photograph.
